“The BMI Foundation is thrilled to have one of the most coveted rock bands in contemporary music lend their time and talent in support of our mission,” said BMI Foundation President Deirdre Chadwick. “We could not be more grateful to American Authors for their help with both raising funds and raising our visibility as we expand our work supporting emerging creators and students of music.”
Best known for their chart-topping singles “Best Day of My Life” and “Believer,” American Authors first formed their four-piece indie-rock outfit at Boston’s prestigious Berklee College of Music in 2006. The band later relocated to Brooklyn, New York, where they spent years diligently cultivating their career before the release of their debut album, Oh, What a Life, to widespread acclaim. They have since become an internationally touring act and continue to enjoy rising commercial and critical success.
