Dan Block Wins 17th Annual Charlie Parker Jazz Composition Prize

Saxophonist, clarinetist, and composer Dan Block was named the winner of the BMI Foundation’s 17th annual Charlie Parker Jazz Composition Prize and Manny Albam Commission at the 28th annual BMI Jazz Composers Workshop Concert, held on June 22, 2016, at the Christ and St. Stephen’s Church in New York City.

Second Annual BMI Future Jazz Master Scholarship Winner Announced

Pat Cook, BMI Foundation Board Member and Director of the BMI Future Jazz Master Scholarship, has announced Chris Otts as the winner of the second annual competition for the award.
