Jake Richter Awarded Second Annual David N. Baker Jazz Composition Scholarship

The BMI Foundation (BMIF), in partnership with Indiana University (IU) Jacobs School of Music, has selected Jake Richter as the winner of the 2017 David N. Baker Jazz Composition Scholarship, named in honor of the revered jazz musician, educator, and founder of IU’s Jazz Studies program.

BMI’s Jazz Composer Workshop to Celebrate 26th Anniversary

Broadcast Music, Inc.’s Jazz Composers Workshop, led by internationally renowned composer Jim McNeely and pianist/composer/arranger Mike Holober, will highlight the best new jazz compositions created during the last year at its 26th Annual Showcase Concert.
