16th Annual Peermusic Latin Scholarship Competition Announced
The BMI Foundation is pleased to announce the opening of the 16th annual peermusic Latin Scholarship competition: a program open to student songwriters and composers of original Latin music. In partnership with peermusic, the competition awards a $5,000 scholarship for the best song or instrumental composition submission in any Latin genre.
Paola Rodriguez Announced As 15th Annual peermusic Latin Scholarship Winner
Carolina Arenas, Director of the BMI Foundation’s peermusic Latin Scholarship, has announced Paola Rodriguez as the winner of the 15th annual competition. Rodriguez, a graduate student at the University of Miami, received the $5,000 award for her song, “Lluvia.”
Peermusic Latin Scholarship Award Deadline Extended to April 1 for Student Composers of Latin Music
The BMI Foundation has extended the application deadline for the peermusic Latin Scholarship competition through April 1, 2018. Open to student songwriters and composers of original Latin music, the fifteenth annual program will award a $5,000 scholarship for the best song or instrumental composition submission in any Latin genre.

Jessica Garcia Wins 13th Annual peermusic Latin Scholarship
Carolina Arenas, Director of the BMI Foundation’s peermusic Latin Scholarship, has announced that Jessica Garcia is the winner of the 13th annual competition. Garcia, a seventeen-year-old native of Carol Stream, Illinois and student at the College of DuPage, received the $5,000 award for her song, “Sobrevivir.”
